Free Shipping on Most Chairs — Other Items May Require a Shipping Quote

General Shipping

At Markets West Office Furniture, most chairs ship free within the contiguous USA. However, not all products qualify for free shipping — especially large furniture items such as desks, conference tables, and storage pieces. These oversized products often require shipping via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight and a custom shipping quote based on your location and delivery requirements.

Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days unless otherwise noted on the product page. Customized or oversized items may require additional lead time. Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information by email.

All products are shipped unassembled or partially assembled unless specifically noted otherwise.

For bulk purchases (usually 6+ items) and all oversized items, we utilize LTL freight carriers. LTL shipments are dock-to-dock (“tailgate”) deliveries. Someone must be available to unload the shipment. If no one is present and redelivery is required, a $120 redelivery fee will apply. Optional services like liftgate or inside delivery are available for an additional fee.

Important Checkout Note:

  • If your cart contains items that require freight shipping, it will be converted to a quote instead of processing as a purchase.

  • Your credit card will generally not be charged until you receive and approve the shipping quote.

  • If a card is charged automatically before quote approval, a full refund will be issued if you choose not to proceed.


Shipments Outside the Contiguous U.S.

Markets West currently ships only within the contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, Canada, or international destinations due to the high risk of damage during transit for large and heavy products.


Damages & Exchanges

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. All products are sourced from reputable manufacturers, and shipping issues are rare. However, if your item arrives damaged, please take clear photos of both the packaging and the item, and notify us within five (5) days of delivery.

For LTL freight deliveries, inspect the shipment thoroughly before signing and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt. This is essential for claims.

We will assist you in obtaining any necessary replacement parts or item replacements. All items are backed by a manufacturer warranty — feel free to contact us or the manufacturer directly for warranty support.

To exchange an item, please follow the return process and place a new order for the replacement item.


Standard Return Policy

In-stock, non-custom items may be returned within 30 days of receipt. Items must be returned in their original packaging and in like-new condition. The customer is responsible for arranging return shipping. A 25% restocking fee will apply.


Non-Returnable Items

  • Custom-upholstered or made-to-order items

  • Assembled casegoods (e.g., desks, bookcases, credenzas)

  • Customized products not offered on our standard website


Damaged Items

Please contact us immediately using our Contact Form if your order arrives damaged. Markets West reserves the right to provide replacement parts to restore your product to its intended condition.


Return Instructions

  • All returns must be approved in writing by our Customer Service team.

  • A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returns.

  • You may submit your return authorization request via our Contact Form.

  • Items returned without an RMA will be refused and returned to sender.

  • All items must be returned in their original packaging.

  • We do not offer disassembly, packaging, or return shipping services.

  • Return requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.

  • RMA approvals typically take 3–5 business days.

  • RMAs are valid for 30 days after issuance.

  • Once we receive and inspect the item, a refund (less restocking fee) will be processed within 3–5 business days.

  • Credit card refunds typically appear within 2–5 business days of processing.


Order Cancellations or Changes

If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please contact us immediately. Many orders ship the same day they are placed.

If your item has already shipped, we cannot reroute the delivery. In that case, you must accept the delivery and proceed with a standard return.

Custom-cut products, special-order items, or laminate desktops with extended lead times are subject to a 20% cancellation fee if canceled after production has begun.
